Krista Hauk

Krista Hauk is a second year journalism student at the University of Oregon with an interest in public relations. This Southern California native traded her sunny, beach bound lifestyle for the green, Web-foot life of an Oregon duckling. When she graduates, she hopes to plan events for a large company such as Hurley.

Mychal Sargent

It was a beautiful spring morning, the dew was gently forming on the grass and a new baby was being born. This baby was the product of Doug and Sharon Sargent, a humble couple with blooming careers and a growing family. They named the baby Mychal and gave him a swift kick in the ass to get out in the real world and start making something of himself. At the age of 7 he had his own lawn mowing business called Super Special Ninja Mowers LLC. He had 12 employees working under him and made the cover of Toddler Business Weekly. At the age of 15 he was the owner of three fortune 500 companies.  Then at 18 he starred in the summer blockbuster ‘Nancy Karrigan: An Icy Tale.’  Now he is in the University of Oregon Journalism school working hard to find a cure for cancer.

Emily Wilson

Born in San Francisco but raised in Portland, Oregon, Emily Wilson is now a sophomore at the University of Oregon. Majoring in both Journalism and Spanish, she hopes to work with Magazine and/or News/Editorial Journalism; maybe in a Spanish-speaking country. This summer, she plans to study abroad in Oviedo, Spain, and then hopefully in her Junior year find a journalism internship abroad in Central or South America. After graduation, she hopes to find a job doing humanitarian journalism abroad and hopes her Spanish-speaking skills come in handy.
